Bring a dog to any Pony Club event and you will be asked to leave.  We consider this an important safety measure for our riders! This is a condition of entry to any of our events. Thankyou for your consideration.

XC & SJ Training Day's 2012

Information for XC & SJ Days
 
XC & SJ Training Days are designed for riders and horses to have a go and have practice rounds.  You can nominate for

1        Showjump Heights: 45cm; 65cm: 80cm; 95cm; 1.05m.  Each height will be open for 1 hour starting with 45cm at 8.00am. (15 min break between heights)  Maximum of two rounds per horse.   $5 per round

2        XC Heights: 45cm; 65cm; 80cm;95cm.1.05m  Riders may jump any height during the round but must jump between the flags and in number order.  Riders must move onto the next jump or jump a lower height after 3 refusals

3        $15 for first round; $10 for second round on same horse (Murray H & PC members may deduct $5)

4        Maximum of 2 rounds per horse (spaced approximately 2 hours apart).

5        Pre entries with entry money by closing date 13th July only,  Entries will close when event full.

6        Payment may be made by Cheque/Money Order payable to Murray Horse & Pony Club.

7        After the first round, riders may withdraw their second round and receive a refund (minus $5 bookkeeping fee)

8        A draw will be done and available on www.murrayhorseandponyclub.com - upcoming events page on Thursday 22nd July 2010.

9        If time allows riders may pay $10 to concentrate on one jump (eg water jump) An instructor must be present for this. Nomination for this on the day.

10    All riders must have a gear check before their training round.

11    PCAWA gear checking rules to apply (Pony Club uniform not required but must have long sleeves, medical armband, approved helmet and boots and no jewellery)

12    Murray Horse & Pony Club members must provide a helper.

13    No rider under 18 years may be left on the grounds without a parent or guardian.

14    WITHDRAWALS:  Competitors must notify the Secretary by close of entries to obtain a refund.  After this date, a refund will only be given if a Vet's or a Doctor's Certificate is received by the Secretary within one week of the event.  A $5.00 bookkeeping fee will apply

15    Veterinarian only on call

16    Course open for walking on Saturday at 3pm.  XC may run early so be organised.

17    YARDS:  A limited number of yards are available at no charge on a "first-in" basis.  Rope is needed for front.

18    Canteen available during the day

Neither the PCAWA or the Murray Horse & Pony Club or its organising Committee accepts any liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever.

Gymkhana

 

 Entries will be on the day.  All Pony Club riders must be in full Pony Club uniform and non PCAWA riders must have long sleeves on.  Mounts should be plaited.  Listing of events and programme are available on the link to the right side of this page.  We have added hunter classes to this years programme and look forward to seeing you there!

Murray One Day Event Series

Murray Horse and Pony Club holds 3 One Day Events each year.  These form a series in which riders accumulate points for each ODE depending upon their final placings.  At the completion of the 3rd ODE each grade winner is awarded a rug; there are different categories for PCAWA riders and Non PCAWA riders.  To be eligible riders must complete all 3 ODE's in that year.Results are available via the K-Trials link on this website or Murray riders can have a peek at our own Murray Results table. Showhorse Events

In 2011 Murray Horse and Pony Club will hold Official ShowHorse Days, combined with a Novice Ring (traditionally know as Unofficial).  Our dates are 17th April, 26th June and 17th July.

These dates will be affiliated with the ShowHorse Council of Wa and RAS Qualifiers.

We plan to hold full Showhorse program with Rider,Leading Rein and First Ridden classses.

 

Showhunter and Working Hunter Classes will also be catered for. Programs for these dates will be available via our website closer to the date and through the other usual advertising avenues.

 

The Novice Rings ( Unofficial ) will have most of the same classes and this will suit PCAWA riders.

Show horse is a great starting point for riders that maybe considering competing with their horse ponies.
