 Rally Information
November Rally Information

November 5th and 6th we will be having our Rally/Camp and trophy presentation evening to be held at our Pony Club grounds.  On the Saturday it will be informal groups with riders having options of choosing what activities they wish to participate in.  Gear Check will be from 12.30pm with all riders ready to ride at 1pm.  That evening will be our annual Trophy Presentation evening and BBQ with all riders, families, Coaches, VIP guests and Life Members invited to join the festivities. On Sunday will be a normal rally day with our AGM in the morning.  All riders must RSVP their attendance to all or some parts of the weekend so coaches can be arranged.  You can do this at the October rally or by contacting Sharlene.

Riders are reminded that you must thank all instructors at the completion of the lesson.  These people give up their time to help our club and we need to show our appreciation of this! Parents are asked that if your are watching your child ride please do  not sit and watch the instructor set up activities, offer you help so the instructor can get back to teaching the group.

Riders are reminded that they must sign in at the beginning of every rally or they will not be covered by insurance!

Rally - Important Info

In 2011 we will be following the same system to determine numbers and groupings for each rally.  Riders will be asked to RSVP to the Club Coach at least 1 week prior to rally to reserve themselves a class.  Riders who attend on the day without RSVP to say they will be attending will be put together in a class but will miss out on visiting instructors and higher level classes.  In the past too many riders failed to let the Rally Coordinator/Chief Coach know they were not coming and therefore many of our instuctors who had travelled to teach were left with no students in some classes!

Rallies will be held on a Sunday once a month March through to November, check the calendar of events for rally dates.  If you cannot make a rally please call Sharlene prior to the rally so  she can organise grouping.

Murray Horse and Pony Club will provide 9 rally days throughout the year.  Each rally will have a theory, flatwork and jumping/handy pony lesson, the 4th lesson of the day will involve Active Riding. It could involve Games, Novelties, Polocrosse, Horse Mastership, trail ride or training for one of the many Pony Club team events, at times riders will be given a choice of activities to attend. To qualify to ride in some PCAWA events or to represent Murray Horse and Pony Club you need to attend 3 rallies on the mount you intend to compete on.  Therefore it is important that you sign in at the office in the attendance book and list the name of the horse/s you will be riding that day.

Well done to all riders for remembering to sign in!

Each rally the "roving rally photographer" will be out and about getting photos of what us Murray riders do best...riding and having a great time with our ponies!  Each month rally photos will be placed here for everyone to see what's happening in all the groups.

A big thankyou to all the wonderful parents who helped out on the cross country course, cleaning up around the shed and most importantly packing away all the showjumping equipment.  Your help is always appreciated.
