 Rally Information
August Rally Information

A big thanks to everyone who helped out at the July rally and those parents and riders who cleaned up and packed up all the equipment.  It made for a very pleasant afternoon and packup happened in record time.

We will be having our closed Gymkhana at this rally.  This means full Pony Club uniform and Pony need to be presented plaited and looking their best!  Riders will be grouped in arenas with riders of a similar riding ability/level.  There will be Hacking, Showjumping, Handy Pony and Novelties for all level of riders.  Ribbons will be given out and lots of fun for all who take part.  Hope to see you all there!  Parents please take note of the helper roster as Setup will be on Saturday afternoon to allow for a smooth start on Sunday.

The September 4th rally is a slight change to the usual rally.  It is an afternoon trail ride and sausage sizzle sundowner.  Start time and venue will be available shortly.  All level of riders will be catered for however if for some reason you would prefer your child to remain at Pony Club that afternoon to do their rally ride you will need to let Sarah know when you RSVP.

Riders are reminded that you must thank all instructors at the completion of the lesson.  These people give up their time to help our club and we need to show our appreciation of this!

Rally - Important Info

In 2010 we will be trialling a new system to determine numbers and groupings for each rally.  Riders will be asked to RSVP to the Club Coach at least 1 week prior to rally to reserve themselves a class.  Riders who attend on the day without RSVP to say they will be attending will be put together in a class but will miss out on visiting instructors and higher level classes.  Too many riders failed to let the Rally Coordinator know they were not coming in 2009 and therefore many of our instuctors who had travelled to teach were left with no students in some classes!  Further information will be given to you in the newsletter as to how and when you RSVP.

Rallies will be held on a Sunday once a month March through to November, check the calendar of events for rally dates.  If you cannot make a rally please call Fiona on 0432307981 prior to the rally so  she can organise grouping.

Murray Horse and Pony Club will provide 9 rally days throughout the year.  Each rally will have a theory, flatwork and jumping/handy pony lesson, the 4th lesson of the day will involve Active Riding. It could involve Games, Novelties, Polocrosse, Horse Mastership, trail ride or training for one of the many Pony Club team events, at times riders will be given a choice of activities to attend. To qualify to ride in some PCAWA events or to represent Murray Horse and Pony Club you need to attend 3 rallies on the mount you intend to compete on.  Therefore it is important that you sign in at the office in the attendance book and list the name of the horse/s you will be riding that day.

Well done to all riders for remembering to sign in!  If you are off eventing and you need your rally attendance card please see Karen at Rally Day's or phone her on 0421605511.

Each rally the "roving rally photographer" will be out and about getting photos of what us Murray riders do best...riding and having a great time with our ponies!  Each month rally photos will be placed here for everyone to see what's happening in all the groups.

A big thankyou to all the wonderful parents who helped out on the cross country course, cleaning up around the shed and most importantly packing away all the showjumping equipment.  Your help is always appreciated.
